A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

 Before surgery, life was the same, as usual.  I'm a big picture taker.  I love documenting the small things for my blog so we can remember them forever.  So, while our lives may not be super exciting and my pictures may not be the best quality, it's fun for us to have these memories.  

These boys and their smiles!  Too bad life isn't all smiles all the time.  ;)

 

 We ventured to the park early one morning before it got too hot.  We had a few days of 106 degree weather, and it was miserable!  Collin loves the slide!

 

We played in Jackson's tent.  I was so exhausted this day! 

We headed to Sea World on one of the cooler days and played some games this time.  The worker's make this ladder game look so easy, but Jeff said it's definitely harder than it looks.

We tossed 250 rings and didn't win.  :(  They gave us a free stuffed lamb anyways, though, with our bucket purchase.  That was enough to make Jackson happy.

We spent time at the mall.  More time than usual.  I mean, what else do you do on days where it's too hot for anything else?

Collin likes to wake up some days at 5:30.  So, I have to keep him in my room so he won't wake up Jackson.  He discovered the tissues and how fun it can be to pull them out of the box!  

Jackson picked out a net for his "staying in his room" prize.

He's really into playing school these days.  We've been working on recognizing more of the alphabet and having him see how letters are used in words.  

Now that Jackson is 3, he has to go to story time at the library by himself.  He was hesitant at first, but he had fun. And, it gave me 25 minutes to pick out books with only Collin to worry about.  They invited us in at the very end to tell us what they did during story time.  

Jackson and his cousin, Audra, exchanged letters a couple of weeks ago.  Audra colored a Duffy picture and sent some stickers.  Duffy and stickers...two of Jackson's favorite things!!!

The library has some fun activities for the kids.  We went to listen to this guy teach us about different instruments.  It was very interactive, and the boys loved it!
